How commercial cleaning differs from residential

Commercial jobs are usually larger in scale than a typical home — more glazing, taller elevations, and often multiple entrances or a full shopfront to keep looking presentable. The same water-fed pole and high-reach vacuum equipment we use on residential properties scales up to cover this, reaching multi-storey commercial glazing safely from the ground without scaffolding in most cases.

We're fully insured for commercial premises specifically, not just residential work, which matters when you're inviting a contractor onto a site with staff, stock and customers passing through.

Payment terms differ too. Residential work is paid on completion with no deposit required; larger commercial jobs or one-off exterior work may need a 25% deposit to secure the booking date, and commercial invoices are due within 14 days rather than on the day. Grant's Window Cleaning Ltd is not currently VAT registered.
